Week 14: Zone Conference and Food Poisoning

April 21, 2014
Hello everyone!
Sorry this is going to be a wicked short one – I spent a lot of time emailing my family today.

What do you get when you put the Bangor Zones together in a Zone Conference on April 15, 2014? A fantastic day but you also get a bunch of missionaries hit with food poisoning! Yours truly is included. Yippee! 😛 Yeah. I got taken out Wednesday afternoon until Thursday. Then Sister Hall got hit that night about 2 in the morning. So we didn’t do anything but lay in bed and sleep all day Thursday. We found out that morning that most of the missionaries, including the mission president’s wife and a bunch of the office staff got it, too. Kind of funny, but also not. Then we were super weak on Friday, but we still went out and worked our best. Needless to say, it was interesting.

But zone conference was all about learning more about being a missionary! We focused on Preach My Gospel and teaching skills. It was really quite an amazing day. I learned a lot and I’m trying to incorporate it in what we’re striving to do: Bring others unto Christ.

Besides that, not much happened. For Easter, we ate lunch at the Battaline’s – homemade pancakes and quiche (Sister Hall made the quiche and it was delicious!). We also learned a couple of card tricks. COOL! Also, a visit to the edge of the world was in order. I took pictures, but I’m almost out of time. So I’ll upload them and send them next week. 🙂 Then we hopped on over to the Millis’ for Easter dinner. Tasty treats and lots of fun. I love that family! 🙂 So it was a good Easter.

Again, sorry this is a short one and there’s not much of a spiritual message. Time’s up! 😛
I love you all! Have a wonderful week!
Love,
Sister Mayle
